Movers & Shakers from November

Balfour Beatty plc

Have announced the appointment of Richard Watts as Managing Director – Rail. Watts joins from BAM Nuttall, where he was Rail Sector Director.

 

WSP

Have announced the appointment of Sharif Narouz as Major Programmes Director. Narouz joins from AWE, where he was Programme Director – Future Materials Camous (FMC).

 

AWE

Following the departure of Sharif, AWE have appointed Matt Barber as the new Programme Director - Future Materials Campus (FMC). Barber moves internally from his position as Programme Manager.

 

Accenture

Have appointed Joao Silva as Managing Director, Capital Projects (EMEA). Silva joins from AtkinsRéalis, where he was Managing Director – PPS Complex Infrastructure.

 

Stonbury

Have announced the appointment of Colin Perry-Davis as CEO effective January 2026. Perry-Davis the former CEO of Rock Compliance Limited.

This appointment follows the announcement of current CEO, Trevor Hoyle, retiring. Hoyle will remain in the company as a Non-Executive Director.

 

AtkinsRéalis

Ryan Macdonald has been appointed as Market Director – Power & Industrial, UK & Ireland for the new Power & Industrial market. Macdonald joins from M&J Evans, where he was Managing Director, and previously at SSE.

 

DfT Operator Limited

Have announced the appointment of Alex Hynes as Chief Executive Officer. Hynes moves internally from his position as Director General, DfT Rail Services.

 

Arcadis

Have announced the appointment of Lee Pearce as Managing Director – Water UK & Northern Ireland. Pearce moves internally from his position as Director of Capability.

They have also announced the appointment of Andrew Ryder as Commercial Director. Ryder joins from Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, where he was also Commercial Director.

 

Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR)

Have appointed Paul Groves as Train Services Director for Thameslink and Great Northern. Groves moves across from GTS Rail Operations Limited, where he was Director Operations & Safety Director.

 

AECOM Ireland

Damien Lambert has been appointed Rail Director for Ireland. Lambert moves internally from his position as Project Director.

 

STRABAG UK

Have appointed David Macdonald as Regional Director for Scotland. Macdonald joins from Global Infrastructure Scotland, where he was Director.

 

John Sisk & Son

Have announced the appointment of Leo Martin into the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. Martin will join from Graham Group, where he was Managing Director – Civil Engineering.

 

Jacobs

Have appointed Timothy Fill as Renewable Energy Capability Lead. Fill joins from PS Renewables, where he was Deputy Managing Director.

 

Department for Energy Security and Net Zero

Simon Bowen has been appointed as permanent Chair of Great British Energy – Nuclear (GBE-N) as part of the government’s nuclear arm. Bowen has held this position on an interim basis since 2023.

Mace Consult

Have announced the appointment of Zoe Price as Managing Director for Europe. Price joins from ISG, where she was the Chief Executive Officer.

Galliford Try

Have announced the appointment of Cliff Wheatley as Divisional Managing Director of its Building division, succeeding Ian Jubb, who will be retiring in mid-2026. Wheatley will move internally from his position as Managing Director of Building, North East & Yorkshire.

They have also appointed Matt Mosley  as Operations Director for Galliford Try Infrastructure. Mosely joins from John Sisk & Sons Ltd, where he was Regional Director for Sisk Infrastructure.

 

Barhale

Have made several changes to its Senior Leadership Team.

James Ingamells has been appointed into the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. Ingamells will move internally from his position as Northern Regional Director.

Mark Wood has been appointed as Regional Director – HARP to help lead the team currently supporting Strabag on the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme. Wood will join this newly created role internally from his position as Yorkshire Regional Director.

Succeeding Wood is Johannes Esterhuyse, who will move internally from his position as Yorkshire Water Framework Director, having joined the company in June this year.

 

Peel Ports Group

Have appointed Jonathan Rayner as Chief Commercial Officer. Rayner joins from London Luton Airport, where he was Chief Commercial Officer.

 

Downer Transport & Infrastructure (Australia)

Have announced the appointment of Anthony McFadden as Executive General Manager, Infrastructure Delivery.
