Have announced the appointment of Jonathan Scott as Managing Director – Engineering to succeed Steve Higham. Scott moves internally from his position as Operations Director – High Speed and Adjacent Markets.
They have also announced the appointment of Conor Cleary as Sales Director for Ireland. Cleary joins from BAM Contractors, where he was also in Business Development.
Have appointed Thomas Faulkner as Divisional Managing Director of Specialist Services. Faulkner joins from Skanska, where he was Executive Vice President – Infrastructure.
Faulkner succeeds Mark Baxter, who has announced that he will be retiring December 2026.
They have also appointed Nick Whyment as Framework Director for the energy sector. Whyment joins from Skanska, where he was Project Director.
Have announced that they have made some changes to their main board.
The new board have been slimmed from nine to six. This includes former Executive Managing Director (Buildings), Grant Findlay, stepping down alongside former Executive Managing Director (Infrastructure), Steve Hudson. They will remain part of the business.
Engineering and Technical Services Director, Andrew Hunter, has announced he is leaving the business.
Have announced the appointment of Gianfranco Sgro as Chief Executive Officer. Sgro joins from Swiss company, Kuehne + Nagel, where he was Executive Vice President Contract Logistics and member of the Management Board.
Have appointed Joanna Vezey as Managing Director – UK Highways Business, starting in December. Vezey joins from Laing O’Rourke, where she is currently Operations Leader. She returns having begun her career as a graduate with Balfour Beatty.
Rachel McLean has announced that she will be retiring from her position as Chief Finance Officer as of February 2026. Her successor has yet to be announced.
Network Rail’s new entity, Network Rail Property, launching this Autumn, has announced Robin Dobson as Chief Executive Officer. Dobson moves internally from Network Rail, where he was Group Property Director.
Have appointed Ruth Dunphy as Chief Transformation Officer. Dunphy joins from Royal BAM Group, where she is currently Transformation Director UK & Ireland.
Sambit Banerjee has announced that he is retiring from his position as Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Mobility UK&I and Managing Director Rolling Stock and Customer Services at the end of the year.
Succeeding him is Aglaja Schneider, who moves internally from her position as Project Director of Picadilly Line and Head of London Deep Tube Upgrade Programme.
Matthew Young has been appointed as Major Infrastructure Director. Young joins from HS2, where he was Project Client Director BBV contract.
Have appointed Jessica Ellery as Regional Director for the South & South West. Ellery joins from Wincanton, where she was Director of Infrastructure & Industrial.
They have also appointed Catherine Whitfield as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Project Director. Whitfield joins from WSP, where she was Deputy Group Technical Director.
The new Elizabeth Line operator have announced the appointment of Laura McEwen as Train Service Director. McEwen joins from c2c, where she was Operations & Engineering Director.
Have appointed John Mullen as Director in the Advisory Services team. Mullen joins from INTEC Energy Solutions, where he was Managing Director.
Have announced the appointment of Andrew Edwards as Managing Director. Edwards joins internally from his position as Operations Director.
They have also appointed Andre Harlock as the new Operations Director and Nicholas Kinsey as Finance Director. Harlock moves across from Govia Thameslink Railway, where he was Train Services Director.
Kinsey joins from McCarthy Stone, where he was Commercial Finance Director.
Have announced the appointment of Fiona Roberts as Finance Director. Roberts joins from PXC, where she was also Finance Director – Finance Transformation (within the TalkTalk Group Limited).
Have announced the appointment of Neil Kirkby as Chief Executive Officer. Kirkby joins from SSE plc, where he was Managing Director SSE Enterprise.
Matthew Ciborowski has been appointed as Vice President, East Coast. Ciborowski joins from RSG, where he was Vice President – Planning & Modelling.

Stuart Taylor has been appointed as Director of Service Delivery for Greater Manchester. Taylor moves internally from his position as Head of Commercial Development.
Have appointed Colm Tully as Director of Commercial Services & Infrastructure. Tully joins from AECOM’s Ireland business, where he was Head of Commercial Services, Infrastructure PPC UK&I.
Have appointed Jason McEwen as Head of Project Management. McEwen joins from the Government Property Agency, where he was Portfolio and Programme Management Director.
