Energy Delivery Director – Scotland

Location: Scotland (Project-based, with travel required)

Our client, a leading specialist in electrification and transmission infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Energy Delivery Director to oversee strategic project delivery across Scotland and Ireland. They have been bought by and are backed by one of the largest contractors in Europe (Bouygues).

With a growing pipeline of T&D infrastructure work, this is a unique opportunity to drive high-profile energy projects contributing to the UK and Ireland’s decarbonisation goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end leadership of regional project delivery, ensuring safe, efficient, and commercially robust outcomes. This role reports directly to the Country Director and plays a critical part in aligning regional execution with national business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement regional strategies aligned to company-wide energy delivery goals.
  • Oversee complex multi-disciplinary energy and infrastructure projects across Scotland & Ireland.
  • Ensure on-time, in-budget, and high-quality delivery of projects, maintaining full compliance with client, regulatory and safety standards.
  • Foster strong client relationships and represent the company at regional forums and industry events.
  • Manage project teams and provide coaching and development for operational excellence.
  • Support business development by identifying regional growth opportunities and nurturing partnerships.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance, driving continuous improvement.

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering major Energy or T&D projects at director level.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes.
  • Excellent financial acumen with budget oversight and commercial awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead business and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and a strong technical understanding of T&D systems.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK & Ireland.
