A leading engineering business which provides vehicle maintenance services has retained us to recruit an interim Director for a 12-month assignment. The successful candidate could be engaged as an interim or on a fixed-term contract, and this role could lead to further opportunities within the business.
They are a UK multi-site operation, providing specialist engineering in a safety-critical environment.
Our client is looking for a highly capable, hands-on leader with strong operational expertise and proven people leadership skills.
Requirements
- A track record of leading successful transformation of multi-site operational businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in senior commercial or operational roles, ideally within large-scale, service-driven environments.
- Experience with an engineering, manufacturing or maintenance services operation is preferred. Vehicle maintenance experience would be an advantage.
- Extensive leadership experience, with a strong background in guiding teams and managing budgets or operational assets.
- Sound knowledge of business finance, coupled with practical insight into leadership practices and organisational strategy.
- Skilled at navigating complex stakeholder demands while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.
- Highly effective communicator, confident in presenting ideas clearly to both internal and external audiences.
- Excellent at structuring workloads, setting priorities, and maintaining oversight of multiple initiatives.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with a talent for identifying issues and developing actionable solutions.
