Description

We’re recruiting an experienced Project Director to lead the construction phase of a strategically important £300m transmission project in North Wales. This is a hands-on delivery leadership role focused on safely bringing a nationally significant scheme through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full construction delivery phase, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary project team and coordinate across commercial, engineering, and contractor functions.
  • Manage Tier 1 suppliers within NEC frameworks, driving performance, programme control, and assurance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including landowners, local authorities, and internal governance bodies.

Ideal Candidate

  • Senior leadership experience delivering high-value, complex infrastructure (e.g., power, energy, rail, highways, water.
  • Deep understanding of CDM, safety management systems, and delivery assurance under NEC contracts.
  • Track record of successful project delivery in live operational or geographically sensitive environments.
  • Able to drive a collaborative culture across supply chain and client teams.
