Description
We are retained to appoint a Strategic Growth Director - Water Ireland to help shape and deliver the next phase of growth across our client's Water business in Ireland and Northern Ireland. They are a leading global engineering, design, and professional services consultancy.
This is a senior-facing, strategic role, focused on building our client's position in the Irish water market, strengthening senior client relationships, and creating growth through work-winning and recruitment.
You'll work closely with senior leaders across Ireland and the UK & Ireland Water business to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships with key clients, and help position our client as a more significant Tier 1 player across the island of Ireland.
Importantly, this is not a pure technical delivery role, we're seeking someone with strong water sector credibility who understands client priorities, market opportunities, and the investment landscape across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic growth initiatives across the Water business in Ireland and Northern Ireland, securing new opportunities and supporting long-term client relationships.
- Build senior relationships with key clients, particularly Uisce Eireann and Northern Ireland Water.
- Strengthen our client's market position, visibility, and brand awareness across the Irish water sector.
- Identify and shape growth opportunities across water networks, infrastructure, wastewater, and treatment.
- Convert client relationships and market insight into work-winning opportunities, supporting recruitment and team growth across Ireland.
- Connect the Belfast water team with the wider UK & Ireland Water business and support the ambition to grow the island of Ireland team to around 200 people.
Key Skills & Experience
- Current experience within the water sector, ideally across Ireland and/or Northern Ireland.
- Strong track record of client engagement and strategic growth, ideally in a consulting or engineering setting.
- Established relationships with key water clients and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, confident, and credible, with the ability to influence at senior level.
- Broad understanding of water infrastructure investment, including networks, wastewater, and treatment.
- Collaborative and growth-focused, with the ability to help our client win work, build teams, and increase market share.
