Movers and Shakers from December

Kier Group plc

Following the formation of its new Infrastructure division, bringing together the Transportation and Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks divisions into a single infrastructure platform, Kier have announced the appointment of Joe Incutti as Group Managing Director for Kier Infrastructure. Incutti previously held the position of Group Managing Director for Kier Transportation.

Additionally, Louisa Finlay has been appointed into the newly revived role of Chief Operating Officer. Finlay moves internally from her position as Chief People Officer and will retain her duties until her successor is appointed.

They have also appointed Abi Cooke as Chief of Staff to Chief Executive, Stuart Togwell. Cooke also moves internally from her position as Head of Strategy for Kier Places.

Within the Construction division, Martin Staehr has been appointed as Group Managing Director. Staehr joins from Laing O’Rourke, where he was Delivery Director.

Furthermore, James Askew, interim Group Managing Director of Construction, becomes Group Commercial Director.

They have also appointed Tom Hinton as Chief Financial Officer for Construction, succeeding Simon Kesterton. Hinton joins from Wincanton, where he was Interim Chief Executive Officer, having held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer between 2022-2025.

Finally, Andrew Bradshaw, Group Managing Director, Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks has announced that he is leaving the business after 11 years.

 

Sizewell C

Nigel Cann has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Cann moves internally from his position as Joint Managing Director. This follows the announcement of Julia Pyke, Joint Managing Director alongside Cann, stepping down from her position.

Following her departure from Sizewell C, Pyke has been appointed to the Government’s Clean Power Advisory Commission, being the first nuclear leader in the role.

 

Great British Energy – Nuclear

Have appointed Simon Roddy as Chief Executive Officer of Great British Energy – Nuclear (GBE-N). Roddy joins from Shell, where he was Senior Vice President, Upstream.

 

Costain

Have announced the appointment of Peter Mumford as Managing Director for its Natural Resources division. This appointment succeeds Sam White, who left Costain to become Managing Director of Mitie’s Technical Services division earlier this year.

Mumford joins from Balfour Beatty, where he was Managing Director – Regional Civils.

 

Metro Trains Sydney

Have appointed Oliver Bratton as Chief Executive Officer. Bratton joins from MTR Corporation (UK) Limited, where he was Special Projects Director.

 

Hitachi Rail

Have appointed Kelly Warburton as Senior Sales Director UK. Warburton joins from the Global Centre of Rail Excellence, where she was Chief Commercial Officer.

 

Collen Group

Have announced the appointment of Mark McGreevy as Chief Executive Officer. McGreevy has been on the Collen Board since 2024 as Non-Executive Director & Chair of the Group Risk Committee.

 

Royal BAM Group

Paul Hamer will be joining BAM’s Supervisory Board. Hamer’s appointment will be put to its AGM in May 2026 to fill the position after Paul Sheffield steps down at the end of his term. Hamer previously spent c7 years as Chief Executive Officer at Sir Robert McAlpine.

 

Transport for London (TfL)

Have announced the appointment of Patrick Doig as Chief Financial Officer. Doig moves internally from his position as Group Procurement and Commercial Director.

 

South Western Railway

Have appointed Matt Pocock as Programme Director to lead the Arterio train introduction programme. Pocock joins from Arriva UK Trains, where he was Operations Director.

 

HS2 Ltd

Have announced the appointment of Jennifer Lennon as Project Client Director for EKFB IPT. Lennon moves internally from her position of Head of Delivery.

They have also appointed Morag Stuart as Chief Commercial Officer, Stuart joins from the NHS New Hospital Programme, where she was Chief Programme Officer.

Finally, Fabienne Viala has been appointed as one of six new Non-Executive Directors. Viala is the former Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues UK.

 

London Gatwick

Mathieu Boutite has been appointed as Chief Technical Officer. Boutite joins from Kansai Airports Group, where he was also Chief Technical Officer.

This follows the news of previous Chief Technical Officer, Cédric Laurier, leaving the business to rejoin VINCI Airports in Paris.

 

 

Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB)

Have announced the appointment of Chris Burchell as its new Chair. Burchell will take on this position alongside his current exec role as Managing Director of SSEN Distribution at SSE plc.

 

Heathrow

Philip Jansen has been appointed as its new Chairman, succeeding Lord Paul Deighton. Jansen is currently Chair of WPP and has held positions such as Chief Executive at BT Group, Worldplay Group, and Sodexo.

Arcadis

Have announced the appointment of Heather Polinsky as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 2026. Polinksy will move internally from her position as Global President, Mobility.

This follows the news of Alan Brookes stepping down from the role.

 

Caledonian Sleeper

Have appointed Graham Kelly as permanent Managing Director, having held the position on an interim basis since April.

 

Go Ahead Group

Have announced the appointment of Marc Berman as Chief Transformation Officer. Berman joins from Bain & Company, where he was a Partner.

 

Robertson Capital Projects (RCP)

Gary Bushnell has been appointed as Managing Director to run the Capital Projects Division. Bushnell is an internal promotion.
