Movers & Shakers from April

National Highways

Have announced the appointment of Nick Joyce as Interim Chief Executive, succeeding Nick Harris, who leaves the position after 5 years.

Joyce joins from the Department of Transport, where he was Director General. Resources & Strategy.

 

Alstom

Have announced the appointment of Martin Sion as Chief Executive Officer. Sion joins from ArianeGroup, where he was also Chief Executive Officer.

 

AtkinsRéalis

Colette Carroll has been appointed as Global Market Lead – Rail. Carroll moves internally from her position as Managing Director of Transportation.

Succeeding Carroll on an interim basis is Justin Norman. Norman moves internally from his position as Nuclear and International Growth Director, UK&I.

 

Wabtec Corporation

Andy Derbyshire has been appointed as President – Transit Services. Derbyshire moves internally from his position as Group Vice President Operations of Global Operations for Wabtec Transit Division.

Within Wabtec UK, Liz Gray has been appointed as Sales & Marketing Director, UK & Ireland. Gray joins from Fishbone Solutions (Project REM Ltd), where she was Head of Business Development.

 

Office of Rail and Road (ORR)

Have announced the appointment of Feras Alshaker as Interim Chief Executive. Alshaker moves internally from his position as Director, Planning & Performance.

 

Ridge and Partners LLP

Have announced the appointment of Steve Williams as Head of Infrastructure. Williams joins from Turner & Townsend, where he was Director of Programme & Project Management.

 

National Grid

Ada Gonzalez Albert has been appointed as Project Director. Gonzalez Albert joins from National Highways, where she was Director of Development.

 

Metroline London

Have appointed Katie Frost as Chief Executive Officer. Frost joins from Network Rail, where she was Route Director, Anglia.

 

Arup

Have announced the appointment of Giles Thomas as Principal, High Speed Rail Technical Director for Asia Pacific. Thomas moves from HS2 Ltd, where he was Integration Director.

They have also made three new appointments to its Toronto office.

Chris Teolis has been appointed as Data and AI Consulting for the Americas. Teolis moves from Mott MacDonald, where he was Principal Consultant, Digital Advisory.

Susanne Manaigre has been appointed as Rail Operations and Maintenance Leader. Manaigre joins from Throttle 8 Consulting, where she was Managing Director.

Finally, Adrian Sheppard has been appointed Rail Project Director. Sheppard moves from WSP, where he was Program Director.

 

NG Bailey

Have appointed Jonathan Kershaw as Low Carbon Director. Kershaw joins from Dalkia UK, where he was Managing Director (Energy Services)

 

HS2 Ltd

Have appointed Hannah Quince as Director of Business Delivery. Quince joins from The Nichols Group, where she was Strategy & Performance Director.

 

Wates Group

Have announced the appointment of George Mosey as Managing Director, Wates Construction, London. Mosey moves internally from his position as UK Operations Director.

 

SIG plc

Have appointed Simon Kesterton as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director. Kesterton was most recently Chief Financial Officer at Kier Group.

Rail Supply Group (RSG)

Have appointed Rob Morris as the new Chair. Morris is currently Joint Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Mobility.

He succeeds James Bain, Chief Operating Officer at Worldline Mobility Transactions International, who is stepping down after a 4-year term.

 

Turner & Townsend

Have announced the appointment of David Whysall as Chief Operating Officer. Whysall moves internally from his position as Global Managing Director, Energy & Natural Resources.

They have also announced the appointment of James Corrigan as USA Managing Director. Corrigan moves internally from his position as UK Infrastructure Managing Director.

Have appointed Warrick Dent as Chief Operating Officer. Dent joins from LNER (London North Eastern Railway), where he was Safety and Operations Director.

 

TYPSA

Have appointed Joaquin Flores are Major Projects Director, Transportation. Flores joins from AtkinsRéalis, where he was Project Director.

 

DB Cargo (UK) Limited

Have appointed Kathryn Oldale as Commercial Director. Oldale moves internally from her position as Head of Strategy, Policy and Communications.

Darren Carlile has been appointed as Director, Head of Growth and Sales & Lead – Transformation and Public. Carlile joins from AECOM, where he was Senior Director, Head of Defence UK&I.
